Subscribers
If
you are a subscriber, your email address is your personal property. You have
every right to stop receiving email anytime you choose and to only receive
relevant and wanted email. We only collect and hold your email address
in order to send you the newsletters you have requested. You can unsubscribe
at any time for any reason with zero tears or recriminations. If you ever have
a problem with your subscription, contact Hank Stroll at
Hank@InternetVIZ.com, 612-871-4000.
Unsubscribing
It
is always easy to unsubscribe to any InternetVIZ
produced newsletter. Just go to any page on our site (or related newsletter
sites) check the box next to the name of the newsletter you want to stop
receiving and click on the "unsubscribe" button below.
Alternatively, just reply to a newsletter issue
with only the word "unsubscribe" in the subject line. This will unsubscribe
you to that particular newsletter.
Clients
InternetVIZ clients' email address lists are
the clients' property. We will send you a 'scrubbed' version of your list
once a month. If you leave us for any reason, your list will be returned to
you within 5 days and no copies of the list will be kept by us.
Opt-out protection
When an email address is removed, the system remembers exactly who opted-out
and can prevent this person from being mistakenly re-added to the subscriber
list. This protects the subscriber and enforces the opt-in policy to which the
newsletter publisher has agreed to abide.
Use of Cookies
We
use use cookies to authenticate the user and keep track of the user session.
We also use cookies to govern over survey voting. We do not use cookies to
collect any information about you. All cookies, except those used for survey
validation, expire within several hours after a period of idle use.
Data Security
Security measures are in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of
the information under our control. Client accounts are password-protected so
that only the client has access to his/her personal information. It is
incumbent on the client not to divulge their password to anyone. We will never
ask for a client's password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited
email. Although we make every effort to ensure security of client information,
no data transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure over the Internet.
SPAM and Policy Abuse
Despite all of these precautions and policies, there remains the possibility
an email will be sent to a person (or a list of people) who will view the
email received as un-welcomed solicitation or unwanted email. In some cases
this may be due to a misunderstanding between our client and the recipient.
In other cases this may be due to an abuse of our email policies. As a first
step, we encourage email recipients to first consider if they are indeed part
of the "opt-in" email list that this publisher has used. If not, and in light
of these potential problems, a special email box has been reserved for
reporting SPAM mail and InternetVIZ policy abuse. To file a report, send an
email to
Hank@InternetVIZ.com
